Charlemagne members share a common interest in learning about and tasting fine wines. All levels of knowledge and experience are represented, and our professionally tutored programme includes both the popular and ‘classic’ regions of the wine world. A monthly newsletter is published, and tickets are booked in advance.
A social club for single people over 50 years of age. We enjoy dining out, days out, coach trips, visiting museums, line dancing, ballroom dancing, live theatre, group walks, Sunday roasts, parties, coffee mornings and more. Check our website to view our programme.
NEWTS is an informal and unpretentious group which runs a wide range of wine tastings, covering both well-known and lesser-known wines and wine regions of the world. Our monthly tastings include speakers from a number of sources, such as independent speakers from the Institute of Wine Educators and representatives of wine merchants and supermarkets. Meetings are generally held on the first Friday of each month at St Barnabas Millennium Hall, Pitshanger Lane, London W5 1QG. Places are booked in advance.
Join our varied programme to explore the best bird watching sites within a couple hours drive of Ealing. All welcome to share our interest in birds and discover barn Owls, kingfishers and nightingales.
We also organise monthly conservation work parties at RSPB Church Wood reserve in Hedgerley village.
Varied walks Saturdays, Sundays, some weekdays, usually 6- 12 miles, starting from a railway station, with lunchtime pub stop. New walkers welcome to try a couple of walks before joining Ramblers Association.
